Espresso Mug in Cobalt and Gold

Handmade one-of-a-kind mug made of black clay.

HAND WASH ONLY: Not dishwasher nor microwave safe (Because of the gold)

This mug was wheel thrown and trimmed. Once trimmed, a handle was attached. Then the mug needed to dry completely before it was fired to cone 06. After that, it was glazed in a cobalt blue glaze. It was then fired again to cone 5 (even hotter) which makes the mug durable and food-safe. After the glaze firing, gold accents were applied and the mug underwent a third firing.

Each mug is made by human hands therefore pieces will show marks of the making process. Each piece is unique, built with attention to detail. Even the same pieces in the same colour will have some variations depending on the handling & glaze application. All wares have traces of hands at work.

These mugs will not be made again.
